There is much excitement today in growing our own nutritious food. Growing our own medicine is equally a very satisfying endeavor.  Just as food nourishes the body, herbal plants provides tonics to our different body systems.  Fresh herbal plants we harvest ourselves can provide year long security for our health and well being, not to mention the fun it is to grow and create our own herbal products.

This class spans 5 months from May through September. We will harvest the plants according their seasons. We meet twice a month.  During that time we will gather, harvest and make teas blends, tea powders, liniments, herbal tinctures, oils, salves.  (Please see list below.)

I have been using the herbal plants for over twenty years and basically this is what I do each spring, summer and fall.  I have created wonderful herbal products that work for all types of imbalances. The herbal tonics are my favorite because I am interested in ways to maintain health.  I am sharing my knowledge of the healing plants as it is time that people take responsibility for their health into their hands.  The garden has many answers.

This is a hands on class, we will make everything in class together.  I will provide most of the plants as best I can for, of course, everything is dependent on nature.  Included is my workbook on Herbal Preparation and Herbal Plants of the Adirondack Region. Students will provide their own supplies.  I will have a detailed supply list.

The cost is $200.00 for the entire program.  The class size will be limited to 15 students.
