My Herbal Program helps to bring about a greater understanding of our bodies, how the body functions and the way in which we use the plant world to nourish, sustain and heal us.

We learn a love and appreciation for our natural world that borders on the mystical.

I provide a “workbook” that I have written that compliments my teachings. It is composed of different sections: Anatomy & Physiology, Nutrition, Herbal Preparations, Herbal Materia Medica, Contemporary History, Botany & Gardening, Herbal Recipes and Formulas, Herbal Glossary, and the Spirit of Plants.  My teaching reflects my interest in nutrition and the role that plants play in keeping us healthy.  This notebook has been compiled over the last 10 years I have been teaching my apprenticeship program and is geared to the budding herbal student.

We spend time in the wild landscape, watching the plants as they move thru the Seasons of Spring, Summer and Fall.  There is a wonderful bounty of plants growing at our feet.  We will learn their names and how they can help us.  Students make an extensive herbarium to record their knowledge of plant identification.

My favorite herbal activity is to teach this7 month apprenticeship program and
watch as my students learn about the worldof plants and their place in our lives.  I
have an abiding belief in the plantıs power to heal and nourish us, and in my practice I have seen this time and time again.
